If you are travelling by car, please take note of our Car Park details below. You can see photos of our house and car park down below which will help you to find us easier. You can click  on the icon above to access full driving instructions from Google Maps.

Lookout for our Millbrook sign, we are immediately opposite St Mary’s Church. Click on the ‘Directions’ icon above to get complete directions.

Swanage is a Victorian town and therefore was built when cars were not in the plan. We are lucky enough to have our own off-road parking with space for 6 cars on a first come first served basis, very few Hotels/B&Bs in Swanage can boast better.

Due to the number of spaces and to be fair to all guests staying at Millbrook Guest House we only allow one car per room to park on our car park.

Our car park can be found around the rear of Millbrook and is accessed via Court Road about twenty-five metres up on the left. NOTE: Please do not park in the neighbours car park, our car park has Millbrook signs and has gray fencing.

Millbrook is also in an unrestricted parking area, you can park out the front on Kings Road, or on Court Road as well as other side roads such as Locarno Road (by Launderette).

To fit all six cars on two will need to park in front of others. The end bays are nose to nose, the other crosses two bays. This means that if fully used three cars are blocked in. Therefore, we ask that anyone who parks in these bays to leave their keys in their rooms just in case an emergency arises, and those blocked cars need to get out. If you get blocked by others don’t worry as we know who is blocking you in and if you are going out for the day, we can ask guests to move at breakfast time.

If you are not happy leaving your keys then we ask that you park on the road, it could be you who is blocked in when an emergency arises.

A unique journey to start your break the ferry runs daily from 7am to 11pm and currently costs £4.80. It can be extremely busy during the summer months and weekends so consider the Wareham Route (you could always come back this way).

After alighting the ferry follow the signs for Swanage. When you reach the seafront take the second turning on your right opposite the clock. Then turn left at the traffic lights into Rempstone Road. At the mini roundabout go straight over (second exit). Millbrook is 200 metres on your right just after the fire station, opposite St Marys church.

NOTE: Please visit their website news page here to find out more. If the service is not running you should drive via Wareham (see below).

Follow the main A351 from Wareham right into Swanage. Sat nav often sends guests down some very minor lanes around Corfe Castle, as lovely as they are, we recommend you stick to the main road.

On entering Swanage you will pass a school on your left-hand side, after a further 250 metres turn right at the junction into the High Street (you will see an Indian restaurant on your right). Stay on this road, passing Jewsons on your left, down Court Hill and round the bend at the bottom. You are now in Kings Road, Millbrook is 200 metres on your left opposite the beautiful parish church.

The closest mainline railway station is Wareham which has a regular service to and from London Waterloo operated by South West Trains.

The journey time to Swanage is about 25 minutes by taxi or there is the number 40 bus service to Swanage station, just 200 metres from Millbrook Bed and Breakfast.

Depending on the time of year you may be lucky enough to be able to take the Swanage train directly, look at the Swanage Railway website for details.

Alternatively, if travelling from the London direction, alight at Bournemouth and use the Purbeck Breezer bus service (voted one of the most picturesque bus routes in the UK) to take the scenic route to Swanage. Check times on the MoreBus website.

National Express also operate a daily bus service from to and from London Victoria which arrives in Swanage at 10 p.m and departs for London at 7:20 a.m. Don’t worry about the late check in or early departure time (although we cannot offer breakfast at this early hour) if this is your only option, but please let us know.
