Millbrook Bed & Breakfast

Despite the wind and rain we were able to visit Kimmeridge Bay, Dorset and because of the storms there was lots of fossils to be found on the beach and as you can see we had most of the bay to ourselves.
We are open all year round and do have discounts for those who book directly, either by calling us or using the Book Now button above.

August is coming to an end and it hasn’t been too good weather wise but a heatwave is coming! The end of August and start of September is an odd time for us as we always have rooms available as guests think everywhere is still busy, however we think this is the best time of all to visit as the weather is great and everything is still fully open and running. Swanage is not bursting at the seams either as the families have gone home to get ready for the new school term. So change your plans today and book that last minute stay with us now. Use the ‘Book Now’ button above, and visit our website www.millbrookbedandbreakfast.co.uk or call us on 01929 423443.

Its June already, summer is (allegedly) upon us, the bluebells have been and just about gone and everywhere is getting ready for the busy summer. The summer bus timetable is running so you can get a bus to Durlston Country Park, Lulworth Cove / Durdle Door and Weymouth plus there are 2 services an hour to Bournemouth via Studland and Sandbanks so there’s no need to use your car whilst staying with us.
Now is a really good time to book as we really are filling up, remember when you book your stay (whether with us or anywhere else) to always book directly through our website, use the ‘Book Now’ button above or call direct and benefit from the best availability and cancellation terms. Don’t leave it too late and miss out on your break.

Last Sunday was Remembrance Day and the whole country came to a standstill. I took this photo at St Marys Church directly across the road from our guesthouse. They had a display of 99 metal poppies to commemorate the 99 soldiers from Swanage who never returned from the First World War, each one is unique and forged locally.

Millbrook update…..

We have just finished updating our Tyneham Room (no 8) which is now a Superior King en-suite room (it did have a double, single and chair bed) with seating for 2 along with new furniture, this is our most spacious room (and probably our favourite too) and is available to book now.

We have now started on Brownsea Island Room (no 2; our most popular room which is also a King En-suite). We are rebuilding the en-suite and redecorating the bedroom ready for the 2019 season.

Finally our new website has gone live too www.millbrookbedandbreakfast.co.uk which is the best way to check on our availability and find out all about our guest house.

Millbrook Bed & Breakfast

We are very lucky to be surrounded by many lovely spots to walk and at this time of year, especially in the mornings, Godlingston Heath in Studland is one of them. As we are in a quieter period now I was able to take my camera out one morning and try and capture the heath and the deer, especially the stags.
We are open all year round and this area always has something to see, so feel free to interrupt my photography and walking by booking a stay with us over the coming weeks. We do have £10 off per night during the Autumn for Sunday to Thursday night stays of 2 nights or more. Just use the ‘Book Now’ button above, call us or visit our website, and remember to always book direct (not via booking.com) to take advantage of our deals.

The weather has been fantastic and Swanage has been buzzing. As good as the weather has been in the day, there have been some amazing sunsets. No prizes for guessing where this was taken.

We do have some availability for the summer, nothing until the week commencing 16th July (there is still a couple of rooms during carnival week available too!).

If you want to come and enjoy Swanage at its best then book soon. As usual call or email us or book yourself directly using the ‘Book Now’ button at the top of this page.

We made the most of the sunny week and visited a couple of local places on the Jurassic Coast. Dancing Ledge (a couple of miles west of Swange) and Osmington Mills (near Weymouth), including a nice lunch at The Smugglers Inn.

If you fancy exploring the Jurassic Coast or walking the South West Coast path then we are the ideal place to stay. Use the Book Now button above to check our availability for the coming months.
