New roof, new profile photo.....
We have just had the roof on the front of Millbrook replaced (thanks to McDonald & Sons a.k.a. my brother in law Russ). The previous roof was the original and unfortunately it was one winter storm too far! It also gave us a chance to replace the weather boarding on the front too, so now it's looking lovely, is warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. We think it looks great and hopefully you agree.
All we need now is guests..... we will keep watching the news and following all government advice and let you all know when we will be reopening as soon as we can. ... See MoreSee Less
Looks great. Miss my holidays with you. Perhaps I should treat myself to a couple of nights!!! Xx
Looks great. We are hoping to be “let out” in time for Swanage Jazz next year. We were hoping Third time lucky this year, but kinda got that wrong thanks to Coronavirus 😷😢
We need another long weekend here with you guys. Roof looks great. X
Looks good hope to see you all soon xx

Another few weeks in lock down has passed and finally an end (of sorts) may be in sight! I took this last night on my evening walk, looking from Peverill Point straight out towards the Isle of Wight. Although you can't see it, our resident seal was swimming out there too.
We will not be opening until July 4th at the earliest and even then who knows in what capacity we will be able to operate. We have now moved or cancelled all bookings up to the end of June and we are not taking any new bookings in July, beyond that we only know the same as you. We have also updated our website with some Local Area ideas etc. (www.millbrookbedandbreakfast.co.uk)
We will keep enjoying the sunshine and the lovely local Swanage views on our daily walks which we still have all to ourselves still, but we wish we could be sharing them with all you.
In the meantime please keep healthy and fit and we look forward to hearing from you all soon. ... See MoreSee Less
Just been for my daily leg stretch, what a shame circumstances are stopping us all from enjoying the lovely Dorset scenery the way we would want. We hope everyone is keeping safe and well so that you can all come and enjoy it when circumstances allow. We will be open just as soon as we can and look forward to welcoming you all back. ... Sure you're not in Greece Anth!? 😂
That is most definitely Peverill Point with Swanage Bay behind and Old Harry in the mist.
I also thought it looked like Greece! X
It's been a week since our last post and things have obviously changed. We are now forced to close so are trying to contact everyone who has a booking up until the end of May to arrange things, also we are not taking bookings until July, that may be optimistic, it may not be but we can assure you we will be open for business as soon as we are able.
Finally there are some locals seemingly unaffected by everything that's going on. Yesterday I walked the dog over the hills between Swanage and Corfe Castle, we are lucky to be able to find plenty of open space, not everything is doom and gloom. ... See MoreSee Less
We are still open, fully fit and healthy, but obviously things can change (literally by the hour), until we are told otherwise we will continue as normal.
We understand no one will be comfortable booking a stay during this period of uncertainty. Therefore we have introduced a temporary cancellation policy for all new bookings made for stays between now and the end of May 2020 (we will extend this if necessary). All we ask for is a token £5 non refundable deposit on each room booked, meaning you can cancel at anytime without incurring any additional costs.
The current situation is a strain on us, being that we are entirely dependent on tourism. However, we are confident our business will remain stable throughout this pandemic.
We will honor our deposit refund terms but will allow anyone to rebook their stay in 2020 without penalty. If you have an existing booking with us then please visit our Pricing page (www.millbrookbedandbreakfast.co.uk/prices/) on our website for further information or call us to discuss.
Finally enjoy the lovely photograph I took at Durlston Country Park a few summers ago, which is within walking distance of Millbrook Guesthouse. It will hopefully bring a smile to your face. ... See MoreSee Less
Anthony we are still hoping to come in July, but who knows right now. We though it would be third time lucky, after the last two disastrous two years. Little did we know
Stunning photo. Hope you'll manage ok. X
Best wishes and still remember you beautiful house
